Privacy and Discretion Policy

I understand that privacy and discretion are of utmost importance to my clients. I am committed to providing a safe, confidential, and respectful environment for all individuals who engage with me. To that end, I have established the following policies to ensure your peace of mind:

Confidentiality Commitment

All interactions, communications, and personal information that you share with me or my associates are held in the strictest confidence. I will not disclose any details about your identity, your sessions, or personal circumstances to any third party, including spouses, partners, family, friends, employers, or other clients, without your express written permission. This includes, but is not limited to:

• Your name, contact information, or other identifying details.
• The nature of your sessions or preferences.
• Any written, verbal, or digital correspondence between you and myself.

Exceptions to this policy will only occur if required by law (e.g., in response to a court order) or if there is an immediate risk of harm to yourself or others, as mandated by ethical and legal obligations. In such rare cases, only the minimum necessary information will be shared with the appropriate authorities.

Secure Handling of Information

Any personal information you provide—such as booking details, preferences, or consent forms—will be stored securely using industry-standard encryption and protected from unauthorized access. I do not sell, trade, or otherwise share your data with external parties for marketing or any other purposes.

This website uses cookies to keep track of your sessions and for other routine purposes. To protect your privacy, consider using a private, or incognito browser when you visit my site so that it is not saved in your history for snooping eyes to discover.

Discretion in Communication

To safeguard your privacy, I will:

• Use neutral, non-descriptive language in most correspondence* (e.g., emails, text messages, or billing statements). 
• Contact you only through the methods and channels you specify.
• Avoid leaving voicemails or sending messages that could reveal the nature of my services unless explicitly authorized by you or in response to your questions that can only be answered by stating details..

If you have specific preferences for how I communicate with you, please let me know, and I will accommodate your requests to the best of my ability.

*Session- or service-specific questions necessitate a detailed response so use a private email address to which no one else has access if you are concerned about someone seeing it.

Unplanned Public Encounters

In the unlikely event that we encounter one another outside of the studio, I will not acknowledge, approach or speak to you.

If it appears that I am alone (no family or friends, and so on) and you wish to speak to me in such a situation, for example to introduce me to friends, you may discretely make eye contact and I will indicate with a nod that it is okay for you to approach. However, I will never initiate contact with you in order to ensure your privacy.

Referrals

I appreciate referrals but please have your friends contact me through my website so that they can be vetted just like any other prospective client (including you). Be sure to have them tell me your name so I can thank you at your next session, and also because it's easier to trust friends of existing clients. who have vouched for them.

Photography Policy

I recognize that photography can be a sensitive matter, and I prioritize your comfort and consent in all circumstances. The following policy governs the use of photography during sessions:

Client Photography

You may not take or publish photographs or videos before, during or after a session without my explicit written permission.

This policy includes photographs or videos of the studio, both inside and outside. Do not photograph or publicize the street or neighborhood in which the studio is situated. This is to avoid unwanted attention to the studio's location or purpose by neighbors, as well as to maintain the privacy of clients arriving and departing.

Client Consent Required

No photographs or videos will be taken of you during any session without your explicit, written permission.

I will never ask you during your session to participate in photography as you might be in a heightened state of arousal and unable to make rational decisions.

Before any photography occurs, we will:

• Discuss the purpose of the photography (e.g., personal keepsake, promotional use with consent, etc.).
• Obtain your agreement at least 24 hours in advance of your session in writing via a consent form or email.
• Ensure you are fully informed about how the images will be used, stored, or shared (if applicable).

You have the right to decline photography at any time, and your decision will be respected without question or pressure.

Model Release for Promotional Use

If photographs are intended for promotional purposes (e.g., on my website, social media, or marketing materials), a separate Model Release Form will be required. This form will:

• Clearly outline how and where the images will be used.
• Specify whether your identity will be obscured (e.g., face blurred, no identifiable features shown) or visible.
• Require your signature to confirm your agreement.

You may revoke your consent for promotional use of your images at any time by notifying me in writing. Upon receiving your request, I will promptly remove the images from all platforms under my control.

Storage of Images

Any photographs taken with your consent will be stored securely and accessible only to myself or authorized persons assisting me in the course of providing services (e.g., a video editor) who will be subject to a non-disclosure and non-copy agreement to ensure your privacy.

No Unauthorized Recording

I will not take photographs, videos, or audio recordings of you without your knowledge and consent. Likewise, you are prohibited from recording sessions overtly or covertly unless mutually agreed upon in writing by both parties in advance.
